Dear Udyogians!!! ,
Warm greetings to you from District Governor Rtn. N.S. Mahadev Prasad and first lady Rtn. Rajeshwari.
It is a great honour for Vandana and me to be given an opportunity and responsibility to lead one of the largest and most prestigious and vibrant clubs in our District 3192, that has grown from 20 to over 100+ members. I am humbled by the responsibilities you all have entrusted to me.
At this moment, I recall my early days in our club. I joined Rotary Udyog back in 2006 under the Presidency of Rtn. Thampy Mathew and Sponsored by past president Rtn. Shashidhar Shetty, who encouraged and guided me to actively participate in Rotary activities. From projects involving the distribution of notebooks and dictionaries for school children, ensuring water and toilet availability to the nearby Government Schools, and helping people get theircataract operation done, to organising health checkups and blood donation camps, I have had the opportunity to be a part of various Rotary projects and services over the years.
Friends, this year our club will be stepping into the TWENTY FIFTH Rotary year, and it goes without saying that twenty-four yearis not a small period in the life of an organisation. Our club not only survived, but also the growth through these years is testimony to the very fact that we have done something right. It is time to feel proud of our achievements and to remember and thank all our Rotarians and Past Presidents, whose efforts have taken us so far. Therefore, it is a time to celebrate this journey, for it will re-energise us and fill our minds with enthusiasm for our journey ahead.
As per our DG's vision, let's join together to focus on the environment, agriculture and peace & conflict resolution to create a positive impact on society. We have a responsibility to shoulder, to ensure that our club reaches new heights in time to come. Times are changing very fast, and the expectations and needs of the community are changing with it.
The Rotary year 2024-25 will throw new challenges and Rotary opens opportunities to serve the society. Our success will depend on how we respond to these challenges. There are many more milestones for our club and I know all of us are aware of what those are. We have a rich pool of experienced past presidents and a promising lot of young and energetic Rotarians too. I think this rare mix is just the right fuel to propel our growth to newer heights.
I take great pleasure in informing you all that under the Presidency of Rtn. Panchanathan and Chairmanship of Rtn. Jaishankar, we have set up a Dialysis Centre along with an X-ray machine & Ventilator to support the needy people at a subsidized rate, at Ravi Kirloskar Memorial Hospital. This silver jubilee year we will be sponsoring the Blood Bank at Ravi Kirloskar Memorial Hospital. I request everyone to support this and all our upcoming projects wholeheartedly.
Vandana and I take this opportunity to thank you for all your support in our journey and hope you all will continue supporting us in making this silver jubilee year an unforgettable year!
Yours in Service
