Rotary Bangalore Udyog was started on 18th May, 2000 and charted on 29th june 2000, the club has been sponsored by Rotary Bangalore West. Rtn. Prakash, S. Prabhu, Rtn. M. Chandrashekar and Rtn. Krishna Prasad, A.G. from Rotary Bangalore West Started the club with 25 Charter members. In the First year itself the club's membership strength has grown up to 35 under the dynamic leadership of charter President Rtn. Dr.H.B.Rudresh.
The Club meets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday the enable the members to attend the meeting after their work. The club has decided to induct members having their residence or place of work in and around Peenya. Further the service projects are also planned to benefit the community in the around Peenya.
The Club has maintained consistently more than 85% attendance in club meetings with good friendship and fellowship. A cozy meeting place hs been selected to maintain decorum of the meeting. The club has involved the organizations like PIA, Rudsetti, etc., in various projects.
In the Second year (200-2002), Rtn.Prakash S. Prabhu continued the strong foundation laid down by Rtn. Dr. H.B Rudresh, Charter President by including 18 new members on installation day itself & 7 more members thereafter talking the strength of the club to 58. the club has provided mid day meal to 700 student of Govt. School, Peenya in Partnership with ISKCON. A well furnished library block has been built for the Govt. School, Peenya. the club has taken up many more service projects such as IOL Fitment Camps, Blood Donation Camps, Polio Plus Programs, treatment of handicap child, Health Check-up for school children, dental check-up for SSI Employees distribution of medicine to kidney patient and distribution of note books for school children.
To Strengthen the bonds between Rotary member & their families, the club had organized 10 fellowship meeting with family all filled with entertainment and fellowship. Under Vocational Service, SSI Employees personality development training program was organized at Rudest Institute and Vocational. Excellence awards were given to eminent personalities who excelled in their respective vocation. During the year Rotract Club of Bangalore Udyog at K.L.E Dental College, Peenya was started. In the very second year of the club, eight of the club members become Paul Harris Fellows. The club has received RI Presidens Citation for the Club and RI Presidents citation to the President and four awards from the District for maximum membership growth, service projects and Governor's citation for the club and to the president under the dynamic dealership of Rtn. Prakash S Prabhu. Rotary Bangalore Udyog Trust has been formed during the year.
In the Third year (2002-03), Rtn. M. Chandrashekar continued the good works done by Charter President Rtn. Dr. H.B. Rudresh and past President Rtn. Prakash S Prabhu. Club has provided mid day meal about 450 student of Govt. School, Peenya in Partnership with ISKCON. Two class rooms were built at Sanjay Gandhinagar, Govt. School during the year. The club has started Tig Welding project will be ongoing project of the club of benefit the unemployed youths in around Peenya.Further Tailoring training classes has been started at Govt. School, Chokkasandra as ongoing project. The club has distributed 13,000 school note books at the cost of 90,000/- to student of seven Govt. school during the year. Rotary Bangalore Udyog Trust was register as Charitable under IT Act.
In the Fourth year (2003-04), Rtn. Thippaiah Setty continued the good works done by his predecessor. Apart from our ongoing project such as Tigwelding and tailoring training classes, contribution to ISKCON Akshaya Patra, distribution of note books to school children, the club has distributed tewnty vegetable carts to the needy people on micro credit basis, 50 blankets to old aged people at Neerkal Village, donated 10 school desks. and benches to Govt. School, Chokkasandra, constructed water sump and tank at Sanjay Gandhinagar School and Thigalarapalya School and undertaken electrification work at Govt. School, Chokkasandra. Very importantly the club has purchased 7250 Sq. Ft. of land at 13th Cross, 4th Phase, Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore for our dream project rotary Vocational training Center 'Rotary Udyog Bhavan'.
In the Fifth year (2004-05), Rtn. I.K. Bhat has continued all the ongoing projects of the club. The Club along with RPA College, Rajajinagar has celebrated teachers day and awarded eminent teachers. During the year club has hosted District event Centennial ICGF on Vocational Service at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall under the chairmanship of Rtn. Prakash S Prabhu. The club has registered for centennial Project 'Rotary Vocational Service Center with Rotary international. The Construction of vocational Center building has been started with financial assistance from M/s. Canara Bank. The Canara Bank has agreed to take the ground floor on lease for their SSI branch. The cellar portion of the building wherein the Rotary Vocational Center is proposed has been almost completed and inaugurated by the District Governor Rtn. S.R. Yogananda.
In the Sixth year (2005-06),President Rtn. Ashok G. Shanbhag continued all the ongoing projects of the club The prestigious Centennial Project Rotary Vocational Training Center building 'Rotary Udyog Bhavan' was completed District Governor Rtn. S.S Ramdasinaugurated the building. The Ground Floor of the Rotary Udyog Bhavan is let out to M/s. Canara Bank for housing their SSI branch.The cellar Floor where the Vocational Training Center is housed was named as Rotary Udyog Nanjamma Vocational Training Center in the fond memory of Smt. Nanjamma, Late mother of Rtn. Thippaiah Setty for his small auditorium to accommodate the club weekly meetings is built on the Cellar Floor and named as Maria Conference Hall in fond memory of Smt. Maria, mother of Rtn. Thampy Mathew for his generous contribution to the building. During Peenya. The club awarded scholarships to 3 students each from 7 Govt. School in and around Peenya.
The club has donated Computers to Govt. Junior College, Peenya and Rotary tumkur Central. During the year 3 blood donation camps were organized e health check-up campls, where in 800 people got benefitted. A Cardiac health check up camp was organized in Rotary Bangalore Udyog Bhavan in Association ith Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore and 170 people got benefitted. During the year 8 new members have been inducted and four members have become Paul Harris Fellow's. The Club had very nice fellowship during the year and members enjoyed the Rotary under the dynamic leadership of Rtn. Ashok G Shanbhag.
In the seventh year (2006-07), President Rtn. Thampy Mathew continued all the ongoing projects of the club. During the year 16,000 note books were distributed to Government schools. A compound wall and flooring work worth Rs. 1.5 Lacs was executed at Government school, Sanjaynagar. During the year 2 blood donation camps were organized at Rotary Udyog Bhavan and 168 schets of blood was collected. During the year 8 new members have been inducted to the club. Four of our members become Paul Harris Fellow's.
In the eighth year (2007-08), President Rtn. Omkarappa continued all on-going projects, distributed 23,000 notebooks to poor children in Government schools, constructed posh toilet at Chookasandra school, Kinder act was started in the same school, Maths and Science tutions to SSLC students of nearby government schools was conducted at Udyog Bhavan. Inner Wheel Club was formed. Rotract club was started in government senior college, Peenya first RCC was started at T.Begur and our club also sponsored new club at Nelamangala. The club aolse has its first major donor in the form of Rtn. Thipppiah Setty along with 9 PHF's, 19 members were added also Rtn. Shashidhar Shetty was awarded with the best Rotarian award from RI.
IN the ninth year (2008-09) President Rtn. Abhay Kanjikar also distributed 6,000 books to students in nine government schools at Peenya, conducted blood donation, health and dental checkup camps. Heart screening program for industry workers was organized in association with Manipal Heart Foundation, Aids and cancer awareness camps were organized. Rs.50,000 was donated towards Bihar flood relief, another Rs.50,000 was given to district towards eye and heart operations for poor needy children. Tri-cycles and wheel chairs was given to physically handicapped. Contributed Rs.1.75 lacs towards Mid-Day meals in association with ISCKON and Adamya Chetana for benefit of 3,500 poor school children. Contribution was given to Shrushti academy center for mentally challenged children towards meals and list of items required at center.
15 benches were donated to 2 government schools respectively for higher primary students. For the first time international fellowship trip was organized to Thailand. 12 members contributed to Rotary foundation towards PHF's. 21 new members were inducted taking the club to large club category. The president right in the beginning of the year was recognized as HERO President and District gave 13 awards to the club including Bronze best club award- Large category, President award, awards to club Secretary and Treasurer, etc.,
In the tenth year (2009-10), first decade of the club President Rtn. Dr. Kirancontinued the strong foundation laid by past presidents, increased members to 108 by inducting 30 new members and continued all the ongoing projects like 48,000 notebook distribution worth Rs.2.3 lacs to government schools in amd around Peenya and also with Nelamangala Rotary. Conducted 11 blood donation camps, collected 1235 units. Health, dental, heart screening, cancer detection camps for the school children and general public were conducted. Donated Rs.1 Lac towards housing for north Karnataka flood affected area, vegetable vendor cart towards women empowerment on Micro credit basis. Sponsered 3 heart surgeries under District Heart care programs.
A fund raising program SINCHANA conducted, felicitated renowned educationlist Dr. M Mohan Alva with Vocational Excellence Award. Contributed Rs.1.45 lacs towards Mid-Day meal program of ISCKON and Adamya Chetana. Contributed medicine to Shrusthi Academy. Computer education programs were conducted for the school drop outs and SSLc tution classes were conducted in MAths and Science. District Simplified Grants (DSG) project was undertaken with Madanpalli, 50 sewing machines woth Rs.1 Lac was given. A state of Art Hall- British Biological block and Rt. KS Venkatesh Sabhangana worth Rs.18 lacs constructed at RBU Bhavan 14 PHF’s were contributed towards TRF. President Krian awarded STAR PRESIDENT Award in first month of the Rotary year. The club have won four first prizes and two second prizes. The club was adjudged second best club in Large club category.

In the twelveth year (2011-2012) President Rtn. Shashidhar Shetty and his team has continued ongoing projects, distributed 5,000 note books to government schools. Conducted RYLA for about 900 students of government school at Dasarhalli, Nagasandra, Nelagaderanahalli, Mandigere, Byranayaknahalli, T.Begur, Sakleshpur, Cherkadi, Haluvalli, Karje, etc., Partnered solar lighting project of the district. Contributed towards heart surgery of a child. Organized Yakshagana program of Saligrama Makkala Mela and honoured Yakshagana guru Sri Shridhar Hande for his excellent service in the field. Organized adolescent and hygiene awareness program to girl students of government high schools. Organized blood donation camp at Acharya college of pharmacy. Covered drainage at government school Peenya. Provided minera; water for government school, Snivapura and government high school Dasarahalli. Organized 3 day family tour to Goa. Organized a tour of Rotarians to Chikkamagalur and Mullaingiri. Awarded 3 eminent persons with vocational excellence award in association with Rotary Nagarbavi. Contributed to RI foundation by 3 PHF's and four major donors. Sponsored a club Rotary Gokul Vidya, the only club sponsored during the year in District 3190
In the Thirt enth Year (2012-13) President Rtn. Santhosh Shetty Two Matching Grant projects Executed 270 nos. of Desks for School Children for the worth of Rs. 10.00 Lacs. in partnership with Rotary Club of Mineapolis of USA. ii) 10,000 nos. of Dictionaries for the worth of Rs. 10.00 Lacs. in association with Rotary Club of Sandpoint of USA. Added 7 dedicated members to Udyog.Contribution to TRF by 3 Major Donors and 28 PHFs. Club got the Hall of Honour Status with 100% PHF. Adopted the School, Govt. High School of Gruhalaxmi Layout. A committee is formed in the name of Udyog VidyaVikas to continue our support to the adopted School in long term. "Rotary Udyog Road" is named A First in the Rotary Dist. Started Mid Day meal to Ajitha Chethana School for Special Children. Donated Rs. 1.50 Lacs to ISKCON. Under the Dist. Rotary Shelter program we have donated for two houses at Kanakapura Housing Project at the cost of Rs. 60,000 each. By erecting the Flag post at Udyog Bhavan Started to celebrate Independence day at Udyog Bhavan and later celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava and also Republic day. Rotary Bus Shelter is built at Kyalanur, a rural village near Devanahalli. Hosted RI President's visit to Dist. 3190 with Banquet Lunch and Special ICGF "Apthamithra". Adhar Card Registration at Udyog Bhavan which is also First in Dist 3190, were 750 Rotarians & General Public Enrolled for Registration. Udyog got the 3 Star Club award in the large Club category and Total 22 Awards for various categories which is of Now, Highest in Udyog.
In the Fourteenth Year (2013-14) President Rtn. Rajashekar B.H. Distributed 1000 dictionaries. Conducted ICGF on Youth service YUVASHAKTHI & honoured Indian Idol junior winner Anjana Padmanaban, Reconstructed 3 class rooms for govt school in Siddarathanagara near Peenya 2nd stage. Contributed towards heart surgery of a child & eye surgery. Conducted 2 blood donation camps in association with PIA & Acharya college.
Organised soft skill enrichment program for two batches of MSME employees at RUDSETI which was three days residential program. Started 2 new Interact clubs in Bagalgunte & T.Dasarahalli Govt high schools. Conducted a RYLA program for 1050 Govt high school students in & around Peenya. Contributed 4 PHF to RI foundation. Supported towards mid day meal project of ISKCON.
Constructed multi utility hall at Govt school Chokkasandra. Vocational excellence award was given to 2 eminent personalities. Donated a sum of Rs llakh to Dist for distric dialysis program. Started a new club Rotary Bangalore Nandini . It is the only club started in Dist 3190 during the year.
